At Hotel Seppl, the manager is a keen cyclist
Hotel Manager Bernhard is himself a passionate cyclist. He caught the road cycling bug in 2018 during the UCI Road World Championships in Innsbruck, and he later took up gravel riding too. Since then, cycling, especially on narrow tyres, has been extremely important at Hotel Seppl.
“Innsbruck boasts an unbelievably high density of cycle routes and trails. Countless different types of routes begin right on the hotel’s doorstep in Mutters. There’s road cycling, gravel riding or mountain biking. As Hotel Manager and Head Chef, the amount of free time that I have for cycling is limited.
That’s why I got my new Bianchi Aria electric road bike. This bike combines speed, fun and distance. It enables me to get back in time to don my chef’s hat and prepare a delicious regional menu for our hotel guests.” (Bernhard Fritz, Hotel Manager, cycling expert and chef at Hotel Seppl)
When it comes to road cycling, Tyrol isn’t short of attractions. A total of 3,800 kilometres of roads, many of these serpentine routes, extreme passes and picturesque landscapes adorn the local road cycling maps. The Inn Cycle Route, a total of 150 virtually straight kilometres long, offers relaxed enjoyment. Those who want to take on the enigma that is “The Höll” can check in with their bike and peak fitness at the renowned section of the 2018 Road World Championship and guarantee a grand road cycling finale to their cycling holiday.
End of the road? Not with a gravel bike! Off the classic road cycling terrain on dirt tracks and gravel paths, where asphalt roads finish, these bikes carry on effortlessly and speedily ahead. Tyrol is well-known for its winding mountain and forest roads which often have little traffic; the choice around Hotel Seppl in Mutters is virtually endless.
