When it comes to road bikes, Mutters near Innsbruck is not stingy with its superlatives: The highest mountain pass in Austria, the steepest cycling mountain in our ‘Republik’ and over 3800 kilometres of the finest roads, pepper the local road cycle maps and are there waiting to be ridden by you. Leading the way is the Inn Cycle Path with a total of 150 kilometres casually meandering through the whole valley. There are not that many metres on the vertical, but what there is, is zero obstacles on the level.
Apropos ‘level’! Anyone who wants to take on the enigma that is “Die Höll” will get to check out their bike and their fitness on the famous section of the World Championship route for 2018 and will enjoy a superb road bike finale for their cycling holiday. Need tips about highlights and information about the full World Championship route? We have factored them into your very own road bike tour already!
Yet even away from the road bike main throng, out on the fields and on the gravel paths where the asphalt roads come to an end, road bikers feel right at home. End of the road? Not with a gravel bike! It is just so easy and casual for the road rider of today to swap their road bike for a gravel bike and just really get out there. Thanks be for gravel!
